You cannot create an authentic piece of art with inauthentic materials. We have made a conscious choice to reject the cheaper, easier path of using acrylic yarns or synthetic dyes.
Every guest at our workshop and every person who opens a MyRugy Craft Box will use 100% natural, locally sourced Moroccan wool. This is the same durable, lanolin-rich wool from the sheep of the Atlas Mountains that has been used for centuries. We believe that feeling the true texture and character of this material is essential to understanding the craft. This commitment extends to our dyes, favoring traditional, natural color sources whenever possible.
