The Entrance: Your Escape from the Medina
Behind a heavy, traditional wooden door in a quiet Medina alleyway, you'll find our entrance. The moment you step through, the sounds of the city fade away, replaced by a sense of calm and tranquility.
The Courtyard: A Welcome with Tea
Your experience begins in our central courtyard. This is the heart of our Riad-style workshop, open to the sky and filled with natural light. Before we begin, we invite you to relax on our comfortable benches, adorned with Berber cushions, and enjoy a traditional, sweet mint tea ceremony. It’s our way of saying “Mrehba”—welcome.
The Wall of Wool: A Rainbow of Inspiration
One of the first things you’ll notice is our vibrant wall of wool. We have a beautiful library of colors, all from 100% natural and locally sourced Moroccan wool. From earthy, natural tones to bright, jewel-like colors from natural dyes, you can see and feel the incredible texture of the materials you will be working with. This is where you’ll choose the unique palette for your creation—just like those found in the MyRugy Craft Box.
The Looms: Your Creative Station
Our workshop is lined with traditional, upright wooden looms. Each one is a beautiful object in its own right, carrying the spirit of generations of weavers. Before you arrive, we prepare each station, warping the loom so that it is ready for you to sit down and begin your creative journey the moment you feel inspired.
